To all new members of society in 2024

To all the new members of society, I sincerely congratulate you on taking your first step into society.

When you were a student, you were in a “chrysalis” state, so to speak.

You have been protected by your parents, relatives, teachers at school, acquaintances, and everyone else around you.

However, from today onwards, you will become butterflies and fly in the sky.

Sometimes the sky is calm, and sometimes it’s stormy.

You’ll be spending the rest of your life going through this, so it’s incomparably more difficult than when you were a student, but at the same time it’s fun.

Today, I would like to share with you my thoughts on how you should live your life from now on, as a senior in your life.

That means being serious about studying (social studies in a broad sense) throughout your life.

Some of you may have worked hard at studying when you were a student, but some of you may have been unable to concentrate on your studies.

If you don’t study (social studies in a broader sense) when you enter the workforce, you won’t be able to continue flying in the sky, and you’ll fall from the sky.

However, some of you may not be able to figure out what to study. If that’s the case, you might want to think about the following three things.

・Expertise
・Human Power
・Sales Ability

Expertise
It’s about increasing your professionalism in your job.

You have a job, but you are still a beginner and don’t know anything about the job.

Some may have gained specialized knowledge through university studies or gained practical experience through internships or part-time jobs.

However, at that time, you were not yet experts in that field.

This is your first full-time job as a member of society.

First of all, it is important to study your field of expertise with an open mind and improve your expertise.

Human Power
Increasing your attractiveness as a person is extremely important both in building your career and moving forward in life as a member of society.

This is a very wide field, and it may be hard to imagine how to approach it.

Since each person has their own individuality, the only way to do this is to find a method that suits you and work hard over a long period of time.

It is a very effective method to study attractive people in your workplace, peers, and society, and to learn from historical greats.

Developing human skills also includes improving one’s liberal arts.

We are busy with work every day, so we have to consciously make time for studying liberal arts.

Start by studying a field that interests you, such as art or music.

Rich liberal arts will brighten your life.

Sales Ability
It does not only refer to the sales ability to sell products.

It is the ability to promote business, such as marketing and management.

This is the comprehensive strength of sales, marketing, and management.

This also cannot be learned overnight.

This ability is cultivated through interactions with seniors, colleagues, business partners, and customers.

I have talked about the three powers above.

Life has its peaks and valleys.

Please continue to work tirelessly without worrying about the events in front of you unnecessarily.

I hope that you will become a member of society who can contribute to the nation and society, and that you will play an active role.
